Augustine continues to be moved by the eloquence of Bishop Ambrose and finds that the word of God is no longer "ridiculous" to him. In what must have been a room spin, Augustine’s mother, Monica, suddenly shows up in Milan, and learning of Ambrose, expresses profound faith that he will become a Catholic before she dies.
